FacultyPosition Summary:
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking part-time Electrical Systems Technology Instructors. A part-time faculty member is employed to provide direct instruction in either a classroom, lab, clinical, or distance education setting on a semester contract basis. The primary responsibility of part-time faculty is to provide quality instruction to students. The part-time faculty teaching load is defined as 1-15 contact hours per week for each of the fall, spring and summer terms. The teaching load assigned to a part-time instructor should not exceed 15 contact hours per term. Exceptions to part-time faculty loads greater than 15 contact hours will be made in rare circumstances and will require the approval of the Academic Dean and the Academic Vice President. Adjunct instructors are NOT guaranteed employment past the terms outlined in the employment contract.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- AAS degree or higher in Electrical Systems Technology from an accredited college or university with 2 years of field experience
- NC Limited Electrical Contracting License or higher.
