Job Description

 

Lost&Found is seeking a nonprofit professional to serve in a Community Prevention Advisor (CPA) role in Rapid City, SD. This position will split time among higher education campuses in the Black Hills region and will work with administration and staff on each campus to implement suicide prevention and resilience-building programs (75% of role). Additionally, this role will include efforts to build and maintain donor relationships across the region (25% of role). The CPA will report to the Director of Programs at Lost&Found.

 


The successful candidate will be required to work closely with administration at each university to successfully facilitate and execute Peer2Peer Mentoring programs and other programs as indicated by both Lost&Found and university personnel, as well as the Director of Development.

 


This position will work closely with student leaders to create a robust network of peer mentors in the Black Hills region. Additionally, this position will assist with training and recruitment of mentors, facilitate relationships with other prevention and counseling staff, and ensure smooth execution of programming and reporting, while fostering relationships with key stakeholders and funders.

 


Job Duties:

  • Implementation of Peer2Peer Mentorship and Campus Chapter Programs
  • Facilitate and build campus relationships that support program implementation and support services, including Campus Resilience Index and Postvention Policy Support
  • Creation of campus and community resource repository for students
  • Collaborate with each campus to create programming plan that fits within campus context
  • Facilitate campus table events and training for students, staff and faculty
  • Facilitate relationships with Black Hills community including mental health providers and donors
  • Co-facilitate community training for students, staff and employees
  • Co-facilitate Everyday Strong in implementation of supporting students
  • Strategize and implement fundraising strategies to meet program and organizational goals
  • Culitvate and maintain relationships with existing donors and supporters
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with Development Diretor and Communications team to promote events
  • Represent Lost&Found at community events and networking functions
  • Foster relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and potential partners
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and community support

 

 

Job Requirements:

 


Bachelor’s Degree required. Ability to travel between campuses required. Must be willing to take a flexible approach to work and enjoy working with college-aged students and the community at-large.

 


Master’s Degree in Student Services, Counseling, Social Work preferred. Prior experience working with post-secondary populations and fund development skill preferred.
