Job Summary:
The Advertising (Major and Minor) Program at the University of San Francisco requires industry professionals wanting to teach (on-site, in person) in the Fall and/or Spring term(s). As our program is industry focused and practical in nature, specific advertising industry knowledge is required, though may vary in type.
Full Job Description:
This position seeks candidates from the field of advertising/ brand communication/ media/ promotional marketing, or related disciplines who can teach undergraduate advertising classes at any level, from introductory to advanced courses.
The University of San Francisco's Advertising Program is a dynamic, future-forward program where our students learn from professors sourced from around the globe with years of industry experience. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed. The number of these temporary, part-time, non-tenure track, academic positions vary from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the program. Appointments are offered on a course-by-course basis, and appointment length is based upon course section schedule(s). Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Preferred qualifications:
- The roles will most likely be suitable to someone who has worked/is working in a media or a creative advertising agency for at least 5-10 years.
- Experience teaching in a university/ad school or professional environment.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field of study.
- Commitment to support the mission of the University of San Francisco (https://www.usfca.edu/about-usf/who-we-are/vision-mission). Willingness to work in a culturally diverse environment, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC students, local or international, amongst many other denominations and backgrounds.
