Salary and Benefits
This position is in a Salary Grade PM7, with a minimum salary of $81,000 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range. This position is eligible for Northeast Community College’s excellent full-time fringe benefits package.

General Description
The purpose of this position is to manage the financial activity of the College, the Foundation and the Facilities Corporation, while providing direction and delegation of duties to Accounting Services personnel. This is accomplished by developing and maintaining accounting processes and procedures, preparing financial statements, overseeing the expense reimbursement and request for check processes, including signature authority, completing cash flow analyses, placing short-term investments, monitoring activity of all bank accounts, maintaining awareness of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relative to business and accounting functions, and exchanging pertinent information with vice presidents, deans, department heads, staff and the public. Other duties include preparing and submitting required State and Federal reports, overseeing the fixed asset system, overseeing grant and contract management, directing the creation and maintenance of department procedure manuals, assisting with the review of College contracts, participating on committees, both internally and externally and performing other duties as required/assigned.
Qualifications: Education
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration – Accounting.
Qualification:Experience
Requires one to three years of progressively responsible accounting experience in business, government or post secondary education.
Qualification:Skills
Requires working knowledge of GASB and FASB accounting standards; prior experience with fiscal aspects of federal grant compliance preferred; requires strong communication skills, organizational skills, and a demonstrated proficiency in technology related skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
