Job Description

The Department of Finance (https://business.wvu.edu/academics/finance-department/finance ) at West Virginia University invites applications for a part-time (.60), 9-month, non-benefit eligible position as an Instructor, beginning 2024. This position will be responsible for teaching six courses over the academic year. The position will report to the chair of the department.

 

Qualifications
 


The positions in finance require a master’s or doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline and evidence of ability to teach effectively. Individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with only a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in financial services. The successful candidate will have experience teaching and developing courses in personal financial planning and wealth management and delivering financial wellness training for different age groups, ranging from grade school to adults. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
