Job Description: Support Staff

Mission Statement: We equip women through the love of Christ, to rebuild, renew, and restore their lives from the effects of domestic abuse and addiction.

Position: Support Staff

Department: Programs

Responsible To: Program Director, and Executive Director

Status: Regular shifts, Part-Time 12 - 20 hours Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, occasional overnights may be requested.

Description: To assist with and support fulfilling the vision and mission of SHOH by aiding leadership with a variety of support functions in our faith-based transformational program model.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties: checking security cameras, answering the door and a multi-line phone system, appropriately greeting & assisting visitors, and callers.
  • Program support: provide support during the Intake process, help with room cleaning/set-up, provide transportation as needed, oversee medication times, learn & use documentation processes for case plan support, etc.
  • Administrative support: run errands, accept donations, make copies, type documents, etc.
  • Other duties: as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates a committed personal relationship with Christ that includes regular attendance with a Christian body of believers.
  • Demonstrates appropriate behaviors and character traits of a mature Christian.
  • Demonstrates passion for ministry that supports women and women with children.
  • Demonstrates agreement with SHOH’s Statement of Faith.
  • Experience in faith-based recovery environment is preferred.
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a current WI driver license, and a personal vehicle insurance policy, if applicable.

Education/Experience:

  • A high school diploma, at a minimum. Certification or higher in advanced education is preferred.
  • Experience in Christian faith-based recovery programs and facilities is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent people skills and good communication skills is required.
  • Mission-focused and dedicated to the population that we serve.
  • Demonstrates dependability, trustworthiness, openness, and kindness.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and manage programs systems and tools, i.e., case notes, progress notes, etc.
  • Ability to work well independently and cooperatively in a team atmosphere.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 29 per week

Experience:

  • working with students: 1 year (Required)
  • faith-based recovery: 1 year (Preferred)
