Term Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Job Description
The department offers undergraduate studies in general, organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry. We seek an individual who compliments our departmental strengths in biochemistry and/or environmental chemistry.
To thrive in this role, the applicant should be passionate about engaging chemistry students in a diverse, open access, primarily undergraduate institutional environment. This passion should be evident through dynamic classroom instruction and a willingness to work closely with the chemistry faculty to most effectively engage our student body.
Minimum Qualifications:
A terminal degree in the field, such as a Ph.D., is required. The ability to develop curriculum and serve as instructor of record for a range of lower and upper division undergraduate chemistry courses is required.
Position Details:
This position in located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. This is an in-person position located on the Anchorage campus; remote work is not available for this position
This is a full-time, 9-month, 1 year Term, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. The expected start date will be in August 2024. Salary will be based upon applicable academic preparation and experience.
