Job Description
Works Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Workdays: Monday - FridayLocation: 202 W French Pl, San Antonio, Tx, 78212
Summary:
This position supports Human Resources with regards to talent acquisition and retention, records management and retrieval, and other endeavors as needed for the department. This position will coordinate the records management program, constantly looking for ways to improve our record-keeping. This position will require a hands-on approach and the ability to embrace and promote our company culture.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensures employment compliance of federal, state, and local requirements
- Responsible for overseeing all pre-employment reference checks to include background checks, finger-printing, medical screenings, employment verification, and reference checks.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of recruitment procedures and methods to ensure consistency in recruiting and onboarding efforts to include utilizing various recruitment technologies to acquire a high volume of applicants, maintain update job postings, advertisings, screenings, assisting with interviews when needed, and represents employer in the community and recruiting events.
- Performs background renewals for agency personnel as required.
- Organizes and manages new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs, as required.
- Assists with FMLA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation claims under guidance of Human Resources Generalist
- Assists with employee grievance and investigations as needed

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience
- One year of human resources experience required
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license and automobile insurance
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong customer service and leadership skills
- Strong organizational, coordinating, follow up and follow through skills
- Strong understanding of ADA, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation
