Reports To: Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing
Job Summary:
The Director of Operations and Marketing plays a crucial role in shaping the success of Elms College's enrollment management efforts. Under the direction of the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing, the Director will lead and oversee the Undergraduate Admission Office operations, including database management of Slate Solutions CRM, marketing initiatives, and a team of employees. The Director will develop and implement strategic communication and marketing plans to attract and retain a diverse and high-achieving student body.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Undergraduate Admission Office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for prospective students.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan for the Undergraduate Admission Office, utilizing a variety of channels, including email, print, and digital marketing.
- Manage and maintain the Slate Solutions CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data for prospective students.
- Collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions to create and implement recruitment events that attract a diverse pool of qualified applicants.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department to align enrollment communication and marketing strategies.
- Analyze enrollment data and marketing campaign performance to identify trends and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other key stakeholders to promote Elms College.
- Manage a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices in enrollment management and marketing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall enrollment management strategy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership in the area of student recruitment and a clear understanding of a coordinated enrollment effort necessary.
- Strong written and communication skills, including the ability to prepare persuasive and engaging content for prospective students.
- Proficiency in marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
- Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, particularly Slate Solutions CRM.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to set goals and objectives with regard to recruitment and enrollment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students, family and advocates as well as with the campus community.
- Demonstrates successful relationship-building skills.
- Ability to adhere to procedures and to explore opportunities for improvement.
- Ability manage multiple projects.

- General knowledge and promotion of the Colleges' mission, purpose, goals and the role of this position in achieving those goals.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Progressive leadership responsibility with at least 5 years' experience in undergraduate college admissions.
- Experience with traditional undergraduate, returning adult students, and professional students preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Slate Solutions CRM.
Physical Requirements:
- Use of general office equipment in an office setting. Requires an equal amount of standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing multiple levels of stairs, light lifting, near vision and manual dexterity to perform essential job functions. Requires ability to travel between buildings on campus with exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- May require driving or traveling to locations in the local and outside the local area on official college business.
- Background check will be conducted upon hire and on a routine basis thereafter. Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
