Job Summary
The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking a PT Instructor, Art 3D Design for Las Positas College. This course introduces students to the concept and application of three-dimensional design and spatial composition, including the study of the elements and organizing principles of design as they apply to three-dimensional space and form. Students will develop a visual vocabulary and skill set for creative expression with three-dimensional projects using 3D modeling software (including modeling, texture mapping, and animation) in addition to physical projects using traditional materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach ARTS 24, 3D Design
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in fine arts, art or art history OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities OR the equivalent.
(NOTE: “Master’s in fine arts” as used here refers to any master’s degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the “Master of Fine Arts” (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing or other nonplastic arts.)
Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience teaching, preferably at a college level
- Experience with 3D Software, 3D Printing, and/ or 3D Scanning
