Wichita State University has an opening for a Human Resources Assistant. This full-time, temporary role will assist with I-9 verifications, data entry, and non-benefit eligible hiring duties during our peak hiring season. Other duties could be assigned, depending on workload. The anticipated length of the position will be until approximately October 31, 2024.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with I-9 verification preferred.
- One (1) year of customer service, office, clerical, or related experience.
- Ability to use and operate Microsoft Office Suite, including, but not limited to: Outlook (must know how to operate calendar function), Word, Excel and Teams.
- Ability to use and operate office equipment such as printers and scanners.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service during periods of both low and high-volume traffic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
