Palouse River Counseling is a non-profit, behavioral health care organization based in Pullman, Washington providing outpatient behavioral health care in psychiatry, adult and children's mental health, substance use disorders, crisis services and community outreach.

We hire people that are smart, nice and get things done. The HR Generalist role is a cross-functional role within a growing community Health Care Organization. As an HR Generalist you will perform HR related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities with employee relations, investigations, and planning and development. You will on-board new employees, assist with job descriptions for new and existing employees and maintain employee confidential records as well as front-load orientation basics for new hires.

The following minimum qualifications are: 2 - 4 years experience in Human Resources, 1+ years with employee relations, strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations as related to employment laws, compensation and job description experience, ability to organize and prioritize work, effective written and verbal communication skills, proven success working under minimal supervision, experience in employee complaints, disputes and resolution, strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, Minimum bachelors degree or any combination of experience, education and training which would demonstrate the level of knowledge and ability required, satisfactory background check.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

partner with employees and management to maintain and communicate various HR policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, Provide guidance on handling performance issues, corrective action plans, and involuntary terminations, respond to general employee relations issues, assist with job descriptions for new and existing positions and assist with job compensation analysis, orient new hires and set up personnel files with continued maintenance and updates, oversee the eligibility and documentation of use of employee benefits, collect data and prepare reports as requested and other as requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
