Job Overview:

As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order within the community. You will be responsible for enforcing laws, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and ensuring public safety.

Responsibilities:

- Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of citizens
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses
- Arrest suspects and prepare detailed reports for court proceedings
- Enforce traffic laws and issue citations when necessary
- Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies to solve cases

Qualifications

NYS Certified Officer or Phase I Police Academy

Availability to work in Town of Wallkill Court & School Resource Officer

Complete Background Investigation

Pay: $28.10 per hour

Benefits:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to Relocate:

  • Middletown, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
