Job Description
The
Jill Ker Conway Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center
is home to the Global Finance Concentration, for which Financial Accounting is a required course.
 
The Center invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track lecturer position in Financial Accounting. The position is limited to one semester only—either Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
The successful candidate should be prepared to teach an introductory accounting course for liberal arts students. Instruction will be conducted in person twice weekly. Candidates must also be available for requisite office hours for a minimum of two hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master degree required
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:

  • A deep understanding and commitment to the values and academic mission of Smith College and the willingness to contribute to that mission in a variety of ways
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to inspire and motivate students, alumnae, faculty, and staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Product, technical, and/or creative industries expertise
