Primary Shift: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Classification: Full -Time
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Salary: $46,000-$49,000
Travel Required (Y/N, %): Y, 30% (local)

What you’ll do:
- Provide and/or oversee case management services, referrals, and follow-up to shelter residents.
- Provide intake services, including screenings and assessments, to admit children and families into the shelter.
- Assist with written and data-based documentation (i.e., internal documentation case notes, housing plans, resource referrals, etc.) while managing client records to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
- Promote, advocate, and interact with social service and healthcare providers, school systems, first responders, courts, and any potential referral sources for those impacted by domestic violence.
- Ensure resident and shelter security.
- Respond or provide oversight to the crisis phone line, providing intervention, safety planning, support, and referrals to callers seeking assistance.
- Monitor shelter revenue and expenses in collaboration with the Program Administration.
- Facilitate and maintain regular staff training and education.
- Exercises considerable initiative and judgment in planning and carrying out assignments; receives general administrative direction; work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and evaluation of operational results.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise a team that focuses on the delivery of timely, trauma-informed, high-quality emergency shelter services.
- Set a professional example of leadership for the team through regular mentoring, coaching, and providing appropriate feedback and supervision.
- Facilitate interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Set scheduling for routine shelter coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain appropriate supervisory records.
- Collaborate with agency peers and leadership to ensure success.

All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) or equivalent human services degree.
- One year of experience in the social service field and knowledge of domestic/intimate partner violence and women’s issues.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Two years of experience in the social service field and a strong knowledge of domestic/intimate partner violence and women’s issues.
- Supervisory experience.
