Columbia River Health’s (CRH) Board of Directors is seeking candidates for its Cheif Executive Officer position.

The position will report to the CRH Board of Directors. Columbia River Health is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with approximately 55 employees with one clinic and a pharmacy. The CEO will be responsible for working with the Board of Directors, Medical Director, and staff to ensure high quality care is provided to the children and adults in North Morrow County, Oregon and in such a manner as to earn their confidence and respect. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving provider productivity, provider recruitment, organizational strategic planning, ensuring compliance with FQHC requirements and participation in quality improvement initiatives, as well as advocate for the organization and serve as liaison to local and state professionals, as appropriate.

The CEO assists the Finance Manager in preparing the annual budget, prepares the grant application for review by and approval of the Board. The organization would desire a leader with business healthcare experience coupled with a suitable business management degree. A Master’s degree in Health, Public or Business Administration or an appropriate related field, or BS/BA degree with four years’ experience in health care administration, or five years progressively responsible work experience in a public health setting which includes at least two years administrative experience, or other adequate experience as approved. The applicant must possess knowledge of grant writing techniques and administration of said grants, knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational management. The applicant must have the ability to determine compliance with state and federal laws, standards and regulations as applicable to Community Health Centers, the ability to prepare, present and review oral, written and electronic information, the ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, protocols and patient services.

Boardman is located in northern Oregon on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range right on the banks of the beautiful and mighty Columbia River and is home to the 2nd largest port on the Columbia. 11,173 people call Morrow County home, and if the trend continues, the population will continue to steadily increase each year (from 2000-2010 Morrow County’s population growth rate was 1.6%). Boardman’s closest metro area is Hermiston and the Tri-Cities. The economy is fueled by agriculture, food processing, dairies, utilities, forest products, livestock and recreation. There are 860 farms in Morrow County, many of which employ migrant and seasonal farmworkers from planting to harvest. Columbia River Health’s bustling sixteen exam room medical clinic and its dedicated pharmacies provides primary care services for all, including the low-income, uninsured, private insured, migrant and seasonal workers and others who have difficulty accessing care. CRH is the only health care facility located in Boardman. Two physicians, two physician assistants, one nurse practitioner, one CSWA TO provide medical services at CRH.
