Job Description:
Embark on a mission-critical journey as a Cyber Security Analyst within our dynamic team at the forefront of defense technology. Your role is pivotal in fortifying the resilience of software systems designed to support the United States Marine Corps (USMC), safeguarding national security interests by thwarting cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing robust cyber defenses that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive military data and operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Risk Management: Conduct exhaustive risk assessments and rigorous security audits, mapping out potential threats and crafting strategic mitigation responses that fortify our systems against cyber assaults.
  • Security Systems Implementation: Architect and enforce cutting-edge security measures tailored to protect vital systems and classified data, ensuring alignment with stringent Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Collaborative Cyber Defense: Serve as a cybersecurity liaison, integrating with software development teams to weave security through the fabric of our applications from the ground up, using your expertise to guide secure software design and development practices.
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Keep a pulse on evolving cyber threats and maintain a deep understanding of global cybersecurity trends and tactics, translating this knowledge into actionable defense strategies for our organization.
  • Documentation and Compliance Mastery: Prepare meticulous security documentation and compliance reports, shaping the framework for our cybersecurity protocols and ensuring they meet the rigorous accreditation standards as outlined by the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of dedicated experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of enhancing the security posture of complex software systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of risk management frameworks (RMF), Information Assurance (IA), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and comprehensive security protocols essential for protecting high-stakes operations.
  • Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical skills with an acute attention to detail, capable of identifying and addressing complex security vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring cohesive security strategies and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 annually
