Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center.  A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.

Paul D. Camp Community College (PDCC) seeks a strategic and accomplished professional to manage Human Resources for the college. The primary responsibilities include:
  • administration, management and analysis of PDCC’s human resource information systems
  • administration, management and supervision of payroll and benefits
  • classification and compensation analyses
  • recruitment and selection processes
  • diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • policy development and implementation
  • organizational development and workforce planning
  • training and professional development
  • worker’s compensation
  • legal compliance
  • position management
  • records retention
  • employee relations
 
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
A combination of experience and education in human resources, business administration or a related field that provides the required level of knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the funcitons of the job.
Additional Considerations
Significant, recent and progressive work experience in human resources. Work experience with a state agency, especially the VCCS. Experience working with PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin and Avature systems. Considerable experience with Department of Human Resource Management’s policies, procedures and guidelines. Human Resources degrees and certifications.
