As the Petco Director, FP&A, Services, you would be responsible for owning all financial processes and analyses supporting Petco's services businesses (grooming, dog training, vet services). This includes leading preparation of the monthly forecast and annual budget for Pet Services, helping manage the monthly close, supporting the services leadership team, and providing regular and ad hoc analyses for the Petco organization.

In this role you will work cross functionally with multiple teams to help drive business results and keep the Pet Services business on track to meet its financial goals. You'll have the opportunity to enhance your skill set, think critically about complex challenges, and drive meaningful change. The individual in this role will lead a team of analysts in support of all financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation for Pet Services. This is a perfect opportunity for an analytically minded team leader who is detail-oriented, technically capable, a strong communicator, holds a desire to solve problems and efficiently delivers a quality work product in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will report to the Senior Director, FP&A, Pet Care Centers & Services.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead the monthly close, monthly forecast refresh, annual budgeting process, and all ad hoc financial analysis for the Pet Services business (grooming, dog training, and vet services)

• Build partnerships with the Pet Services senior leadership team to provide planning and analysis support to ensure the teams are on track to deliver their financial goals

• Present out business results to key finance and business executives

• Complete complex analyses in all aspects of the Pet Services business to help Officers and Sr. Officers understand and answer critical business issues and questions.

• Manage a team of two Lead Financial Analysts

• Identify areas to improve financial processes, reporting, and analysis

• Serve as thought partner to business leaders, providing actionable financial, operational strategic insights

• Financial owner of end-to-end P&L results for Pet Services

• Work with the Accounting team to ensure SEC and GAAP compliance

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience (minimum 5 years people management experience) operating in highly analytical FP&A or business finance roles, as well as:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Be extremely analytical and quantitative and comfortable building advanced spreadsheet models

• Working Accounting knowledge

• Passion to continuously provide exceptional customer service to all business partners

• Data-driven decision-maker with high degree of competence in analyzing data

• Demonstrated expertise in leveraging financial systems to empower an organization to efficiently plan and monitor financial performance

• Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Advanced level of interpersonal communications skills due to the nature and level of interaction with senior management and other department personnel

• Track record of successful cross-functional communication and project management

• Very detail oriented, with strong organization skills with the ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources

• Ability to organize and prioritize duties in order to meet external and internal deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills)
