Job Description Summary

Empower Lives, Inspire Success : Become a Career Coach at LLCC! The Career Coach & Internship Coordinator will be responsible for managing the college’s non-credit internship programming and assisting academic programs with facilitating internship opportunities between employers and students. This position is also responsible for career coaching, providing one-on-one guidance to students on career planning, job search strategies, and professional development.

As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and starting with 15 vacation days per year. Starting salary is likely to be between $50,818 and $58,552 per year with an excellent benefits package. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education, training, experience, and skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR extensive experience in career development, human resources, workforce development or similar work.
  • Minimum of two years experience in career development, human resources, career coaching, or workforce development.
  • Extensive software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and technical ability to operate the student scheduling system and customer relationship management system.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience that includes both employers and students.
  • Ability to navigate conflict and think strategically and creatively toward win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.

  • Ability to use database systems.

Position Salary

Starting salary is likely to be between $50,818 and $58,552 per year with an excellent benefits package.
