Group Lead, Business Process and Strategy, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Leader to spearhead the relatively new Business Process and Strategy Team. This role is crucial in driving process, efficiency, performance management, strategic planning, and resource optimization for the entire San Diego Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) Team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading teams and managing business process projects, ensuring all functions within the department operate at their highest potential.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, Mentor, and manage a team of project leads focused on business process and performance, ensuring they are effectively supporting the various functions withing the department.

  • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to drive individual and team success.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

Process Optimization

  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement across Quality, Sourcing, Logistics, Material Planning, and Supplier Development to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.

  • Leverage the global network to analyze current processes and workflows, utilizing data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to standardize processes and best practices within the department and across the multiple factories of ASML.

Strategic Planning

  • Partner with key management stakeholders and the head of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for the business Process and Strategy team, ensuring alignment with department and company-wide priorities.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the department remains at the forefront of innovation and operational excellence.

Performance Management

  • Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to ensure the effectiveness of processes and achievement of strategic objectives.

  • Regularly review and assess department performance, making data-driven decisions recommend strategy adjustments and improvements.

  • Ensure that all BP&S initiatives are aligned with compliance standards and proper risk management protocols.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with leaders across all functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and drive execution of strategic initiatives and process improvements.

  • Act as a liaison between SS&P and other business units, facilitating communication and collaboration on common improvement goals.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on process improvement projects, strategic initiatives, and overall department performance.

Qualifications Education and Experience

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in business process management, strategy development, or a related role withing Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain

  • Proven experience in leading teams with a focus on performance management and process optimization.

  • Strong analytical skills with business sense and the ability to leverage data to drive decision making and process improvements.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.

  • Extensive program management/project management experience

  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining a strong attention to detail in execution.

Travel

Travel ~10% of time including internationally.

Other Information

This position is located on-site in San Diego, California. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).

Responsibilities

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan.
