Introduction to the Job

Role and responsibilities

  • Performing customs and export control classifications.
  • Determining country of origin.
  • Handling legal control blocks (GTS).
  • Maintain and improve the master classification database.
  • Function as the go to person in case of classification related questions from internal stakeholders.
  • Stimulate and establish good working relationships at different levels with relevant departments within ASML (for example Development & Engineering).
  • Supporting the classification process which may involve accessing multiple ERP systems (Oracle & SAP)
  • Provide suggestions for improvement processes.

Education and experience

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Customs & Export Controls Classification.
  • Technical (Engineering or equivalent) experience preferred.
  • Technical background and/or knowledge and experience with SAP and GTS is preferred.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and in multi-cultural teams.
  • Transactional knowledge of United States Government export control regulations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and project deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a multi-cultural work environment.
  • Strong drive with a hands-on, structured, accurate and result oriented working style.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and drive others, build relationships and influence other functional areas.
  • Able to cope with a multicultural, dynamic and changing and complex environment.
  • Good time management skills and able to manage towards tight deadlines.
  • Show ownership of issues from start to finalization.
  • Eye for detail, proactive and capable of making decisions.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$64,125-106,875

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
