Job Summary:
As part of Petco's Retail Media team, the Senior Yield and Revenue Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing yield management strategies to optimize revenue across our owned channel advertising inventory. This role involves financial tracking & forecasting, pacing, and pricing to enhance campaign performance that align with financial goals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advertising pricing strategies, data analysis, and strategic implementation to maximize vendor ROAS and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Forecast, Budgeting & Revenue Operations:
Create and maintain accurate ad demand forecasts for our onsite channels including Petco.com, Petco App
Inform pricing and inventory decisions based on forecasts
Ensure accurate weekly reporting by tracking actual delivery against financial targets, collaborating with Account Management, Ad Ops and Campaign Management teams
Yield Strategy & Optimization:
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability through inventory analysis, forecasting, and optimization.
Develop risk mitigation plans associated with campaign under-delivery in collaboration with Ad Ops and Campaign Management teams.
Ad Pricing Strategy:
Develop and execute pricing strategies for various ad types and placements.
Consider traffic forecasts, inventory availability, audience targeting, and market demand.
Align pricing, discounts, and inventory strategies with sales, ad ops, and product teams.
Inventory Management:
Develop, monitor and optimize ad placement inventory to ensure efficient utilization and balance supply and demand forecasts across our owned channels
Minimize unsold inventory and impressions through proactive management.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze campaign performance and historical data to provide actionable recommendations for maximizing ad revenue.
Track and report on revenue performance, highlighting key KPIs and updating leadership regularly.
Define and monitor KPIs related to revenue, yield, and pricing performance, and provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
Product / Tech Capabilities:
Collaborate with business and product teams to identify new features or capabilities that support revenue growth.
Incorporate future launches into pricing and inventory strategies.
Competitive Analysis & Tools:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive pricing strategies, and emerging technologies.
Use this knowledge to guide pricing decisions and strategy adjustments.
Collaboration:
Act as an advisor to cross-functional retail media teams, including account management, sales, and ad ops, to enhance pacing and performance strategies.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science / Analytics, Finance, or a business-related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
7+ years of experience in yield management, revenue management, or pricing strategy related roles.
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in data analysis and revenue management software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective yield management strategies.
Proficiency in revenue management tools and software.

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
$87,100.00 - $130,700.00/ year
