Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Regional Sales Manager, you will have direct management responsibilities for a team of independent manufacturer's representatives. This position is responsible for exceeding regional targets in all market segments, including Pharmaceutical, Bioprocessing, Chemical, Power and Food and Beverage, through excellent value selling, product, and application technical knowledge and business development. You will ensure your territory exceeds targets and business objectives through supporting sales efforts requiring up to 70% local and overnight travel due to the size of the territory, which includes southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and then greater El Paso, Texas area. Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Meeting or exceeding the sales budget for Process Analytics products int he southwest territory.
  • Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with the customer base by analyzing customer pain points, mastering product and application knowledge, and differentiating PRO from the competition.
  • Proactively penetrating accounts and generating business at new sites.
  • Building relationships with customers and colleagues and maintaining the highest level of integrity while building long-term relationships.
  • Developing and executing a strategic territory plan to include the methodology needed to achieve sales growth. This can include sales and related activities such as lead generation, cold calling, nurturing, product demonstrations, sales calls, and presenting at technical seminars.
  • Maintaining the customer relationship management (CRM) system daily and completing weekly reports and providing an accurate, detailed forecast on a continual basis.
  • Providing feedback on market trends, competitive activity/reconnaissance, and other information that may be of value for corporate goal attainment.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years' sales experience, including people management.
  • Experience with channel partners is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP or another CRM platform.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnight and 20% local within assigned territory.
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
