Research Assistant

Job Description

The STRONG Research Program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is seeking a Research Assistant to support the creation of a policy package to address the lack of state policies for recess in schools.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with project staff.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Assist in planning for and attend all Advisory Board meetings.
  • Create content for the policy package.
  • Help with planning for the convening of leaders and stakeholders in the field.


*The Research Assistant will work under direct supervision of Faculty PI, Dr. Erin Hager. This position has a tentative end date of 8/31/2025. The selected Research Assistant will be asked to work up to 10 hours per week.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working within a research setting.
  • Familiarity with nationwide recess policies.

 


 

Classified Title: Research Assistant 
Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/03/CD  
Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY (Commensurate with experience) 
Employee group: Casual / On Call 
Schedule: Schedule Varies - approximately 10 hours/week 
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt 
Location: Remote
