We are seeking a Research Specialist who will utilize solid foundation in basic mathematical modeling and laboratory techniques and experience with techniques associated with Radiological Physics. This position will participate in planning experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing detailed knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices. This candidate should be capable of independent judgment in the selection, development, performance and evaluation of research methods.

Specific duties & responsibilities:

• Utilizes solid foundation in basic laboratory techniques and experience with techniques associated with a specific area such as mathematical modeling and/or cell biology.
• Capable of exercising independent judgment while participating in the planning of experiments and evaluating and interpreting results; participate in the creation of manuscripts
• Participates in planning experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing detailed knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices.
• Selects, develops, performs and evaluates research methods; operates appropriate equipment.
• Uses various software applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and /or test reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related field.
• One year laboratory experience performing relevant techniques.
• Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute forexperience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
