Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This is a contractual Contingent I (CI) full-time (40 hours per week) hourly paid position. Under direct supervision, performs routine office work. Will facilitate access to university buildings and installations, verifying identity of authorized persons, following up on requests for replacement access mechanism. May use common office equipment including phones and computers to communicate information and/or document routine activity.

Position assists and/or provides back-up support to the Customer Response Center. The position will work Monday-Friday in one of the 2 shifts available:

6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. OR 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Required Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read, spell accurately, and write legibly; to communicate effectively; to operate manual and automated office equipment and keyboards; to file documents according to alphabetic and numeric sequences; to understand and follow oral and written instructions; to communicate effectively; to maintain effective work relationships; to perform arithmetic computations.

Other:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Record keeping.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
