Essential Job Duties

To hire a full time Post-Doctoral Scholar in order to conduct biomedical research and to develop innovative technologies to investigate gliogenesis.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review scientific literature on adaptive imaging devices, image processing, machine learning and tissue clearing
  • Develop imaging systems for various biomedical applications, including system integration, optical design and more
  • Conduct research on advanced applications of tissue clearing and computational microscopy related to gliogenesis
  • Work with other members of the lab and of other labs to conduct collaborative scientific research
  • Write and publish scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and submit abstracts to conferences each year
  • Write fellowship applications and work with Dr. Grinbaum on grant applications
  • Contribute to day-to-day workings of the research lab

Other Work/Responsibilities

  • Mentor under-graduate and graduate research assistants

Work Schedule

Mon-Fri 8-5 or as needed by supervisor

PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or other quantitative discipline

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Proficiency in programming (Python, MATLAB or other)
Strong instrumentation experience
