Position Description

 

Advertised Job Summary
This position will participate in substance use and psychology-theory-based intervention research. These projects involve developing, implementing, and evaluating a novel peer-led, social media intervention for non-medical use of prescription opioids among young adults in the US.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of specialty.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

 
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications are a PhD in psychology, social science, public health, or other related fields. Expertise in multimedia editing (e.g., video and graphics), peer support group for substance use prevention/intervention, and ecological momentary assessment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Expertise associated with clinical trial feasibility and efficacy evaluation research, including but are not limited to, psychology-theory-based intervention development (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy), qualitative interview and analyses, quantitative data collection (e.g., survey), multivariate statistical analyses (e.g., multiple/logistic regression, latent variable models, multilevel modeling), and mixed-method research design.
  • Qualifications also include excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Applicants who have expertise in multimedia editing (e.g., video and graphics), peer support group for substance use prevention/intervention, and ecological momentary assessment will be highly considered.
  • Ability to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
