Job Summary:
Provides leadership for the Student Support Services Project, having responsibility for the supervision of staff; conducts and coordinates planning, budgeting, staffing and the implementation of all Project services and activities and Project evaluation.

1. Directs and coordinates the implementation of all Student Support Services activities.
2. Coordinates the activities of all staff to ensure the purposes of the Student Support Services Project are accomplished.
3. Prepares reports required by the U. S. Department of Education, College and Division of Student Services.
4. Keeps cognizant of Federal regulations concerning the Student Support Services Project.
5. Ensures the Project is operated within all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
6. Establishes and maintains good working relationships between the Student Support Services and all of the Student Services divisions, such as, Financial Aid office, Admissions office and Registrars office.
7. Schedules and conducts in-service training activities and student workshops.
8. Interviews potential Student Support Services participants; assists in advising of current SSS participants.
9. Maintains student records according to audit regulations.
10. Makes presentations, attends meetings and publishes newsletters to inform the institutional community about the Student Support Services Project, its purposes and how students apply.
11. Supervises the maintenance of the evaluation process, advising, collaborative development and facilitation of financial and economic literacy programming, service learning opportunities, student records, and other services and activities.
12. Interviews and hires all personnel for the Student Support Services Project (including student peer coaches) and is responsible for their orientation, professional development and evaluation

Job Specifications:
Masters degree in education, counseling, or related area required with experience in advising, community service programs or school administration. Five years experience designing, managing, and/or implementing educational and/or counseling programs for first generation, low income students and students with disabilities or similar population required. Two years experience in budgeting and fiscal management required. Experience in supervision of personnel and interpersonal skills required. Person with background similar to target population preferred. Confidentiality required
Grade:
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
