Job Summary

Supervise college-wide maintenance, janitorial and security staff. Manage operations and projects in these areas through efficient work procedures and processes. Provide and track required and critical safety training for all staff. Ensure facilities safety and compliance in conjunction with System Office Environmental and Safety Department. Serve as a point of contact for a variety of internal and external stakeholders including vendors, contractors, local police departments, KCTCS and college leadership. Manage MOA agreements with local law enforcement.

Job Duties:

-Supervise all maintenance/janitorial, security and swichboard staff. Develop and implement effective work procedures, schedules and evaluate work performance of these personnel.
-Plans and manages supply inventories in conjunction with maintenance supervisors, including parts and supplies needed for proper preventative maintenance.
-Coordinates workorders in conjunction with maintenance supervisors and switchboard (vehicle scheduling) ensuring completion.
-Provides and documents required and critical safety training for all staff, maintains Safety Data Sheets, acts as liaison with Sytem Office on safety related issues, and oversees safety of facilities including safety walk-throughs and follow up actions including necessary reporting.
-Oversee major campus projects in conjunction with System Office Facilities staff.
-Oversees Security, including MOA agreements with local law enforcement, drill (fire, tornado, active shooter, etc.) effectiveness, training needs, and reporting (accident/injury, crime log, incident log).

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 3 to 4 years of experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30 certification preferred
