Duties and Responsibilities:

70% - Daily management, implementation, and oversight of the Carl D. Perkins and Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Grants at Delgado Community College. Is responsible for recruiting, training, developing, and supporting nine employees. Will develop internal operating policies and procedures necessary to achieve all goals, objectives, and essential reporting. Administer multi-million dollar grant budgets. Arrange and facilitate meetings; develop and cultivate academic and community partnerships; manages correspondence, reports, manuals, policies, and collateral materials to fulfill grant objectives. Must liaise with other departments and institutions as appropriate and organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple complex tasks using qualitative, quantitative, inductive, and deductive reasoning skills.

20% - Provide leadership, direction, and administration of the Perkins V Regional Consortium of academic and community partners, including collaboration with regional stakeholders to create, strengthen, and support the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) for the region that informs Delgado's Local Application Plan.

10% - Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

 

Required Experience: Experience working with private foundation grants; Carl D. Perkins Grant experience; supervisory experience; experience in developing grant proposals, applications, and necessary reporting.

Preferred Education: Master's degree from an accredited institution

 

Preferred Experience: Minimum of 5 years grant management in workforce development.
