Part Time Adjunct- Nursing

Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College invites applications for qualified nursing candidates to teach as part-time adjunct instructors within the Nursing Department. 

Adjunct instructors have the opportunity to teach in a variety of clinical settings and nursing courses; opportunities vary by semester and include day and evening weekend positions from six (6) to twelve (12) hours per week.

The Adjunct Clinical Nursing Faculty member, following nursing program guidelines and standards, will instruct, supervise, and evaluate the student's performance of nursing activities to assure safe practice in clinical settings. Adjunct Faculty will collaborate with full time faculty to review student progress in meeting clinical objectives and provide direct, timely, and constructive feedback to the students regarding clinical performance.

The Nursing Department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill current and potential part-time temporary teaching positions. Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

 


Requirements:

A Master's Degree is required or candidate must be currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program.

New York State Registered Nursing license required with recent clinical experience.

Clinical and/or teaching experience at the community college level is highly desired.

Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
