We are currently seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join the team and help design site development projects.

Responsibilities
    Communicate with clients to assess needs
  • Assist the project manager in the preparation of proposals.
  • Assist the project manager by preparing plans and reports required for the entitlement process
  • Assist the project manager by preparing construction documents for building and grading permits
  • Manage an intern or new grad engineer.
  • Develop relationships with clients
  • Assist clients with the permitting process
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Mentoring junior engineers
  • Preparing stormwater reports
  • Successfully interfacing with multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil site design, structural, surveying, and geotechnical engineering
  • Work with local and state regulatory agencies for project permitting, funding, etc.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings
Qualifications
  • The successful candidate ideally has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil engineering
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of progressive design experience.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills are required.
  • PE licensure desired
  • Driver's License

Special Skills:

  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge and understanding preferred.

The pay range for this California position is $110,000- $120,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
