Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is a nonprofit community organization established to provide free medical and dental care to working low-income families in Chester County and surrounding areas. Persons eligible for services have an income at or below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines and have no access to, or cannot afford, health insurance. CVIM opened in 1998 to respond to a growing community need and has become a medical home by offering a wide range of services under one roof. Volunteer providers include primary care, as well as a comprehensive team of specialists. The clinic is open Monday through Friday and has some evening hours. CVIM is committed to keeping patients well and able to work in the community and provides access to medications and treatment needed for maintaining health.
General Position Summary:
The Manager of Human Resources and Volunteer Services at Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is responsible for managing the full cycle of volunteer and employee engagement, from intake to onboarding and beyond for about 65 employees and 300 volunteers. This role is crucial in ensuring that CVIM is staffed with dedicated and qualified individuals who can meet the organization’s needs. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
· Works with the Medical Director and other Leaders to develop a process and identify the needs for volunteer physicians, clinical staff, and other support roles.
· Develops strategies to recruit including the creation of pipeline programs, networking, branding etc.
· Managing the intake process and screens applicants
· Works with leaders to create volunteer job descriptions.
· Identifies potential projects and other work for volunteers.
· Oversee the onboarding process for new volunteers and employees, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute effectively to the clinic.
· Develops and implement orientation and onboarding programs.
· Manage interns, and coordinate contracts with schools as needed.
· Managing the provider schedule and works with clinical leadership to ensure that staffing levels meet patient care needs.
· Coordinates the job posting process and external recruiting
· Represents CVIM at job fairs and other external networking events
· Works with leaders to develop employee and volunteer retention and recognition programs.
· Uses technology to manage the job posting process and applicant tracking
· Works with the COO to create a staff training education and training programs including DEI.
· Maintains, updates, and organizes policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of Human Resources Management experience
- Experience managing people
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with process improvement initiatives
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
