Summary of Position

Under general supervision from the Director of Clinical Education and Services and reporting to the Chair, responsible for managing a variety of operational details, administrative support, and coordination for the Clinical Programs of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Exercise independent judgment and strong organizational and problem-solving skills to coordinate administrative activities. Responsible for handling clinic inquiries, clinic coordination, preparing correspondence, scheduling, and billing. Manage confidential records and complex filing systems and provide administrative support for coordinating off-campus externship placements. Utilize computer databases and applications. Oversee technology to support clinical education including laptops, iPads, headphones, and microphones. Work with faculty, students, and clients of all ages.

Required Qualifications

Three years of related administrative support experience
Working knowledge of office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple tasks.
Ability to perform detailed work accurately and efficiently.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally to foster trust and support
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to self-start and learn new tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

An associate’s degree preferred

Physical Demands

Ability to sit at a computer for long periods.
Ability to bend and lift files and paper supplies as needed.
Ability to move around the building.

0.50 (20 hour/week)
