Business Unit:Cubic DefenseCompany Details:As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will apply fundamental engineering principles to well-defined mechanical engineering assignments, engaging in routine structural analyses per designated standards and procedures. This internship involves working closely with experienced professionals under close supervision and direction.Job Details:Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the basic design of mechanical components.
- Obtain, correlate, and analyze technical information for designated products and customer applications.
- Read, interpret, and prepare data for engineering drawings.
- Conduct mechanical layouts and contribute to the preparation of test plans.
- Perform engineering tests and contribute to documentation efforts.
- Assist in writing component specifications.
- Prepare reports, charts, and graphs.
Stay updated on improvements in mechanical engineering techniques.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Enrolled in a four-year college program in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in typical office automation products, including word processors and spreadsheets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Pay Range $19hr - $26hr
