Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced facilities specialist to maintain and improve the physical infrastructure of our facility. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our premises.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of the three floors of our building to inspect, identify, and address maintenance needs.
  • Lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds as required for maintenance and organization tasks.
  • Utilize ladders and hand tools proficiently to perform maintenance activities.
  • Perform patchwork to mend walls and other structural elements.
  • Carry out painting jobs to keep the facility's appearance fresh and up to standard.
  • Address minor plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs to avoid disruptions.
  • Conduct minor electrical work to ensure safety and functionality of electrical components.
  • Install whiteboards, desks, picture frames, and other office fixtures as needed.
  • Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, including bathrooms when necessary.
  • Maintain and adhere to a strict schedule for regular inspections and preventive maintenance work.
  • Maintain all coffee machines in the Breakroom and Lunchroom, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Restock all necessary items in the Breakroom and Lunchroom, including but not limited to coffee supplies, paper goods, and utensils.
  • Ensure that all supplies needed for the facility are being ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
Our Idea Candidate Will Have
  • Physical ability to walk through multiple floors and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with using ladders, hand tools, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge in patchwork, painting, and general building repairs.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems and ability to perform minor repair work.
  • Capability toinstalloffice fixtures and equipment.
  • Comfortable with cleaning duties and maintaining the cleanliness of all areas within the facility, including the Breakroom and Lunchroom.
  • Organizational skills to manage inspection schedules, inventory, and routine maintenance effectively.
  • Experience in maintaining coffee machines and coordinating supply orders is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with 4+ years of experience
  • Solid working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures
  • Good oral and written communication skills

The expected pay scale for this position is $27.48/hr. - $37.00/hr. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, DRS Daylight Solutions considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
