We are actively looking for a Transportation Engineering Manager to join our Southern California team. As part of the Transportation Group, the Transportation Engineering Manager leads multidisciplinary teams in the identification, pursuit, and successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, including highway, roadway, bridge, transit and rail design across Southern California, including San Diego and the Inland Empire. Deep client knowledge, client relationships, industry leadership, and strong technical/program management capabilities required.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Builds and manages key client relationships through deep regional client knowledge, industry leadership, and market recognition for quality Program/Project Management on major highway/roadway projects in California
- Coordinates and collaborates with clients, regulatory/review entities, engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, for successful project pursuits and project delivery
- Identifies needed internal and external resources to maintain and expand industry leadership and market competitiveness
- Leads a multi-disciplinary team of planners, designers, business analysts, project managers, and other disciplines to successfully deliver project plans, specifications, reports, and other deliverables and outcomes to clients and partners
- Monitors, tracks and reports engineering, schedule, and budget progress at the program and project level
- Manages the growth of the team/department/office through hiring, training, as well as P/L, reporting, cost control, resource allocation, and compliance

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Transportation Engineering; required
- 20+ years of experience leading Southern California project pursuits, project delivery teams, and overall industry improvement; required
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in California or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire; required
- Proven ability to connect with and win work from state, local, and municipal transportation and utilities departments in California; required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:
$280,000 to $320,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California markets.
Physical requirements:
Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
