The Special Assistant reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs and is responsible for the overall support and office management of the Vice President’s office and related daily administrative functions. The essential purpose of the position is to provide executive-level support to both the Vice President of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students. The Special Assistant will also have full management responsibility for the Student Success Center and Career Services. The Special Assistant must be creative, flexible, results-driven, fiscally responsible, and be able to operate in a very fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will exercise confidentiality, good judgment, while possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, administrative, managerial, and organizational acumen. The incumbent must be detail, action, and solution-oriented and dedicated to continuous improvement. The incumbent is expected to fulfill identified responsibilities with limited supervision while maintaining effective communication with departmental leadership while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience preferred with at least 3 years executive-level office experience.
  • Knowledge of professional office procedures and grammar, punctuation, and spelling and PC and related software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Prioritize, multitask, proofread, and communicate effectively.
  • Provide customer service and promote the College’s Core Values.
  • Work with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
  • Work independently and use initiative.
  • Maintain confidentiality of files, information, and activities, as required and appropriate.
  • Promote a positive image of the College.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

Ability to Relocate:

  • Monaca, PA 15061: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Monaca, PA 15061
