Description

The Project Manager works independently supervising staff and workflow for projects of various sizes. The Project Manager is the primary client contact for project work. This position is responsible for the external and internal communications for projects and manages the staffing requirements, work effort and project deliverables. This position manages project resources in a manner which provides a high level of client satisfaction and achieve the firm's goals of quality design and service, cost management and timely delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Marketing
  • Provide sales support to Principals and Market Segment Leaders
  • Contribute to proposal writing with responsibility for project approach and work plan
  • Project Delivery
  • Supervise multi-discipline teams of professional and technical support personnel within market focused, project situations.
  • Accountable for project costs and project schedule.
  • Organize specific project requirements and manages client expectations.
  • Manage consultants; prepare consultant contracts.
  • Collect accounts receivables.
  • Utilize office standards and templates for project start-up, budgeting and reporting.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and cultivate working relationships with prospective clients; sustaining and growing the client base.
  • Enforce firm policies and practices to assure its professional and fiscal prosperity.
  • Forward project data for Marketing database.
  • Contribute to delivery of services within each of the following areas:
  • Planning and Programming (Market Based)
  • Conceptual Design
  • Conceptual Engineering
  • Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation
  • Construction Administration
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer in at least one state with suitable credentials for registration in other states
  • Prior experience with the preparation of construction documents on a series of large, technically sophisticated projects; served as the Architect's Construction Phase Representative
  • Experience with Contract preparation
  • Understanding of CPM scheduling
