Research Program Assistant
Job Description
The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Program Assistant. The Research Program Assistant will work as part of a team and under the supervision of the physicians, the Research Program Assistant will ensure the proper workflow for patients seen in the Center for CSF Disorders.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- The primary focus of this position will be in the process of coordinating the collection of the human behavioral recording, processing and distributing the results, and maintaining research records related to the collected data.
- Responsible for coordinating the collection, distribution, and processing of patient data in the Vestibular and ocular motor research (VOR) laboratory.
- Support the conduct of the VOR lab, including scheduling and preparing for patient visits, coordinating the collection of data from study participants, processing of data, distribution of collected results to various collaborators, assisting with data collection and clarification, and general administrative duties.
- Coordinate the assessments by physicians and VOR lab members during various clinic and procedural visits.
- Assist in the setup of procedures and reporting of data to physicians and research coordinators.
- Work with the Principal Investigator to develop and implement data collection protocols for quality control.
- Act as a liaison between clinic staff and patients as needed.
- Meet on a regular basis for supervision and in-service learning.
- Uphold Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions staff strict adherence to federal and state laws dictating patient information confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent, with some college courses preferred.
- Some related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $15.40 - $23.25 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Casual / On Call
Schedule: 4 hrs/week, 5 hrs per day
