Postdoctoral Associate, Camera Culture
Job Description
POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Program in Media Arts and Sciences-Camera Culture, to join a highly collaborative team of faculty and researchers focusing on distributed machine learning, including privacy preserving machine learning, cryptographically secure machine learning, COVID19 projects, and ML for health. Responsibilities include performing independent researching areas including computational imaging, machine learning, optimization, and signal processing; publishing, presenting, and disseminating research to the computer vision, machine learning, signal processing, and optics communities; collaborating with professors from other institutions in their research; working with private, industry, and/or government research sponsors to apply for research grants; helping identify projects, mentoring graduate students, and supplementing a team of researchers to push the research forward; and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:REQUIRED: Ph.D. in computer vision, computer science, electrical engineering, or closely related field; experience with machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, optimization techniques, different mathematical transforms, signal processing tools, compressive sensing, and inverse problems; experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or CUDA; excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills; proactive approach to problem solving and time management; and ability to incubate and envision new, innovative research projects and successfully manage their implementation with graduate students. This is a six-month or one year appointment with the possibility of extension based on the direction of the research and funding.
