Salary Range: $4,098 - $5,123 per month

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Job Summary

Full-time ten-month faculty appointment in the Skilled Trades Division. The primary teaching assignment is for the Leestown Campus and requires flexibility of scheduling, which may include evenings.


This faculty is responsible for supervision and instruction of students, advising and recruitment of students, program reviews/evaluations, and maintaining and building community partnerships. This position includes online teaching with Blackboard or a similar LMS, use of simulation software in addition to hands on instructional labs.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice of the various aspects of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration related subject areas.
  2. Prepares lesson plans, maintains records, and reports on students’ attainment and progress.
  3. Maintains order and discipline and provides ethics and employability training within course taught.
  4. Ensures that appropriate safety policies and procedures are developed and implemented in the HVAC Laboratories.
  5. Maintains program equipment and Lab areas.
  6. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps course material up to date.
  7. Participates in professional development and training activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise in the area taught.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associates degree plus four (4) years of experience in the teaching discipline or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred in the teaching discipline or related field.
  • Ky. Journeyman HVAC License, and Universal EPA Certification.  

**Applicants selected for an interview will be required to give a short (approximately 15 minutes) teaching demonstration on the topic to be determined prior to the interview.
