Lecturer in Modernist Literatures in English
The School of Arts, English and Languages seeks to appoint a temporary Lecturer in the Modernist Literatures in English. The successful applicant will have a strong track record of publication in modernist literatures and undertake research in line with the School's research strategy. You will teach two stage-two and stage-three modules Anglo-American modernism, contribute to the teaching in English at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and contribute to School administration and outreach activities.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have/be able to demonstrate:
- Have, or be about to obtain a PhD in modernist literature.
- A record of recent publication of internationally excellent research in modernist literature appropriate to career stage.
- Relevant teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Effective interpersonal skills to liaise with students and colleagues.
- Ability to encourage commitment to learn in others.
- Ability to assess and organise resources.
