Your next role as a Miracle Maker

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our engineering team as a Engineering Technician I. As an Equipment Engineering Technician I, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment both physically, and within the CMMS. You will work collaboratively with both vendors, as well as other departments.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to a high-volume manufacturing organization.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and fluidics systems as a team or independently under the direction of a supervisor or engineer
  • Perform basic computer/software troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a record of tasks performed using a CMMS
  • Support development and updates of standard operating procedures as required.
  • Work in a team environment to maintain equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Operate within the Quality Management System to maintain an audit-ready state.
  • Coordinate scheduling between manufacturing personnel and vendors to support equipment calibration and preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform other functions and duties as required

The skills and experience that you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Work experience in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices industries preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) preferred
  • Familiar with using a CMMS, preferably eMaint, is a plus
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting equipment documentation and schematics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in priority
  • Experience troubleshooting analytical, laboratory, and/or manufacturing equipment such chromatography and TFF systems preferred
  • Experience with gas and liquid utilities preferred
  • Experience with data collection and hands-on skills
  • Good interdepartmental communication skills and documentation skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as defined by manufacturing schedules

The anticipated salary range for this position is $30.87 - $33.50 per hour. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
