The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a part-time faculty position(s) in Public School Art Education. University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.

General Responsibilities:
Teaching assignments will include Public School Art Education. These assignments may be on one or more of the college's offsite locations at a variety of times, including online. The faculty member will participate in professional development activities as needed and perform all other assigned duties associated with the function of the Languages and Communication Department and The School of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a demonstrated commitment to student success with a student-centered approach to education, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and effectiveness, an understanding and appreciation of an applied approach to the study of the discipline, and a willingness to follow the approved departmental curriculum established by the departmental faculty and dean. Candidate must have a commitment to student development in and outside of the classroom. Candidate must also have the ability to communicate and work effectively with students, college faculty and staff, and the community.
Other responsibilities of the position include assessment of student learning and departmental programs; a commitment to developing and following institutional and departmental policies and procedures; the ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues, and staff; and the ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate for this position must have earned a Master’s degree in Education or Studio Art with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline and have higher education teaching experience. Candidates must have flexibility to teach day or evening classes. They must be able to teach at satellite locations using alternative delivery methods to all levels of Theater. They must also possess excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Community college teaching experience and experience with online course development and instruction is preferred.
