Job Description:

The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and has the skillsets necessary to be successful in this position.The Instructional Support Specialist at Early College Academy plays a pivotal role in fostering academic excellence by providing comprehensive instructional support, including substitute teaching and academic intervention. This dynamic position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about education and committed to ensuring the success of all students.
Job Duties:
Academic Support:

Work with students who have been identified as requiring additional academic support and collaborate with professors and instructors to design intervention strategies.

Conduct one-on-one or small-group instructional sessions to reinforce key concepts and address specific learning needs.

Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

Work closely with professors, parents, and administrators to develop and implement personalized student success plans for students requiring extra support.

Promotes student and/or faculty use of instructional support resources.

Continuously communicates with instructors and administration team to ensure use of appropriate academic support strategies.
Substitute Responsibilities:

Assume teaching responsibilities in the absence of regular classroom instructors.

Follow lesson plans provided by the absent instructor and ensure a smooth continuation of the learning process.

Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Address any immediate concerns or issues that may arise during the absence of the faculty.
Data Collection & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities.

Provide regular reports to instructors, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders on the effectiveness of academic interventions.

Participate in data analysis discussions to inform instructional decision-making.
Other Duties as Assigned:

Attend relevant professional development opportunities to enhance instructional support skills.

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree
-
Two years of instructional support experience
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
