About the Role:
Responsible for providing expert legal guidance and strategic advice to our rapidly growing life sciences organization. Address a broad array of legal matters to support the Company's Commercial, Corporate Affairs, Research, Development, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Alliance Management and/or general administrative departments. Work closely with other members of the Legal Department and their respective clients to address legal issues across several disciplines. Counsel clients and drafts and negotiates complex life sciences arrangements. Advise and train business clients on contract requirements._
Your Contributions 9include, but are not limited to):Advise business partners and key stakeholders on a wide range of employment-related matters, including hiring, termination, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws
Develop, review, and update employment policies, procedures, and contracts to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements
Manage and oversee the resolution of complex employment-related disputes, investigations, and litigation
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and other business units to identify and mitigate employment-related risks
Stay up to date on evolving employment laws and regulations, and proactively advise the organization on the implications and necessary actions
Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on employment-related topics, such as harassment, discrimination, and workplace conduct
Contribute to the overall legal strategy and support the business in addressing the company's legal needs
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school and 7+ years of experience as a corporate counsel or employment law attorney, preferably in the life sciences industry
Demonstrated expertise in employment law, including federal and state labor and employment regulations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s)
Familiarity with the life sciences industry and its unique legal and regulatory landscape is highly desirable

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $198,200.00-$318,500.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
