Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Partner, Recruiting and Onboarding will partner with managers and leaders to drive talent growth through consultative coaching and strategic analysis, to recruit and retain top talent. This role will act as a pivotal partner with aligning the best possible talent in the field where the most opportunity exists. This role is also responsible for new hire onboarding, ensuring that new employees are seamlessly integrated into the College environment and positioned for success.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a trusted strategic partnership with hiring managers by utilizing talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit, and select high-quality candidates for faculty and staff positions, working within the parameters of hiring policies and WCC collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team needs; identify successful candidate knowledge, skills and experience, and develop search strategies accordingly.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned college positions; including but not limited to:
- Build diverse applicant sourcing through research, outreach, networking, and partnering with multiple sourcing channels; evaluate outreach and sourcing performance; monitor progress on requisitions;
- Ensure proper applicant pools are generated and communicated to hiring manager and search committee;
- Assist job applicants with the hiring process and provide status updates to both applicants and hiring managers.
- Conduct regular follow up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness and timeline of recruiting and hiring plan.
- Participate in applicant pre-screening process and on search committees; identify candidates for further consideration, advise hiring managers and search committees on college hiring policies, affirmative action and bargaining unit requirements;
- Provide guidance to hiring managers in executing and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in the hiring process.
- Maintain and analyze recruitment data from start to hire and make recommendations for better efficiency, diversity in recruiting and hiring, and overall recruiting and selection process.
- Research and execute multiple sourcing opportunities for active and passive candidates. Identify and establish community and industry partnerships to enhance sourcing opportunities. Maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of each recruitment, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
- In collaboration with the Director of Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Onboarding, implement the new hire onboarding process to include, but not limited to:
- Implement the onboarding process to ensure new hires are set up for success.
- Deliver comprehensive orientation programs that introduce new hires to College culture, values, policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the completion of new hire paperwork with the job candidate and Human Resources Operations Partners.
- Work with hiring managers to ensure new hire workspace, IT setup and equipment has been arranged.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period.
- Actively seek feedback from hew hires to gauge and improve the onboarding process.
- Assist hiring managers in welcoming and integrating new employees.
Related Duties
- Utilize applicant tracking system to track applicant status from application through the hiring process. Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system including requisition and applicant status.
- Assist in the training of hiring managers on college hiring policies and usage of applicant tracking system.
- Provide updates on recruitment and onboarding efforts including sourcing effectiveness, recruitment progress and onboarding schedule.
- Participate in professional development training, conferences, and college meetings.
- Serve as a resource to others for routine recruiting/hiring questions and the resolution of complex problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours/Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. Remote work available; regular attendance on campus ( on a weekly basis) is required for this position. Occasional travel to regional recruiting and networking events.
This position is identified as Work from Home eligible one day per week ( Monday or Friday) based on determination that essential duties can 1) be performed outside of the worksite, 2) be performed without access to equipment, material, and files located on campus, 3) be performed without face to face contact with supervisor, students or staff, and 4) be performed remotely with an overall neutral effect on students, co-workers, and the organization as a whole.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree with professional experience in Human Resources OR the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 2+ years recruiting experience.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Ability to create and execute sourcing strategies for a variety of roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong desire to learn and innovate.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to occasionally travel across the region.

- 2+ years working in Human Resources
- HR related certificates or certification.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$53,179 - $58,500
